The holidays are coming early for VSCO members this season. Launching today, we are unveiling some brand new video effects and a revamped VSCO Camera with new capture modes for members to try. We have many more exciting updates coming out through the rest of the year, so make sure to stay tuned for more. If you are not a member yet, we hope the suite of new video effects and capture modes will inspire you to give our membership a try

Personalize your videos with new VHS, Glitch, Kaleido and Chroma effects

As part of the VSCO membership, members now have a whole new suite of video effects to explore on iOS and Android today. We’re starting with four new effects: VHS, Glitch, Kaleido, and Chroma. They’ll allow you to add everything from a nostalgic, vintage feel, to fun, colorful distortion within the VSCO app.

To get started, import or select an existing video from your Studio. Once the video is selected, open the editor and scroll to the new “FX” icon in the menu. From there one-tap your way to explore VHS, Glitch, Kaleido, and Chroma effects on your video. Just like presets, you can always play with the strength of the effect with the simple slider.

VSCO Camera now comes with new Prism, Retro, Burst and DSCO capture modes for photos and videos

We’re also rolling out today a revamped VSCO Camera with new capture modes on iOS and exclusively for members. The camera now offers fun new ways to take videos and photos of your everyday moments using new capture options like Burst, Retro, Prism, and DSCO. Whether you’re taking a video or photo, we want to help you make something amazing in seconds and give you more ways to express your creativity.

To get started, go to your studio and click on the camera icon at the top. You will see the ability to take a photo, video or choose the burst capture mode:

  • Photo: To take a photo, scroll to choose a photo effect and then single tap to take a photo.

  • Video: To take a video, scroll to choose a video effect, and then tap to start recording.

  • Burst: To use Burst mode, single tap to fill the grid with a continuous series of photos.

We’re just getting warmed up and have more in store this season. We look forward to seeing what you make with these new video effects and capture modes! And if you’re not a member yet, we welcome you to give it a try for 7 days free.
