VSCO was founded with the intention of building a space for creators, by creators. VSCO is the creator’s champion, partner, and fan–and we are a community driven by the power of creativity and the positive impact it provides. After a decade of growing and nurturing a global creative audience, we're building the next phase of VSCO with you to support your journey.
Everyone has a story to share– photos, videos, and inspiration make up our daily digital lives. At VSCO, we create tools, community, and inspiration that help you discover, explore, and connect, and we are excited to announce new features that will continue to support you on your creative journey. We invite you to join us and build with us as we return to our roots and double down on our founding mission.

VSCO creators deserve a consistently improving experience. We hope you’ve had a chance to try the new features and improvements we’ve recently released including Dodge and Burn, Infrared presets, Film FX, the Collage tool, and a lot more.
We heard you. At VSCO we value creator feedback and have continually looked to our community to help us shape the future of VSCO. Through our ongoing conversations with our creators, we discovered you’re looking for three key things: a streamlined editing workflow; more ways to make meaningful connections with other creators; and a transparent and creator-first way to support yourself and the work you appreciate most. That’s why we’re releasing the following new features to support your journey, with more updates to come!
What’s New
Introducing VSCO Spaces: Debuting Summer 2022
We know that creativity doesn’t happen in a vacuum. Sometimes you want to bounce ideas off someone, collaborate on a project, or get inspired. Connection with your community in a safe space has always been a part of VSCO, and we’re launching Spaces to help you to connect even more with like-minded creators. This feature is available to all members starting today, and will be rolled out to non-members in Summer 2022.
Spaces is a new feature that will allow members to create a collective gallery and share feedback. We think of Spaces as visual conversations – you set the tone and bring others in to continue the narrative. Whether you use the Spaces to get feedback on a recent shoot, learn how to get that nostalgic film look, or connect with others who share your love of black & white portraits, you can make your Spaces your own. To encourage meaningful connections, active participation in each space will be limited to 15 contributors. While all creators can join a space they’ve been invited to, only Members can create new spaces. Spaces can also be shared with a broad audience in view-only mode.
Updates to your Studio
These updates will include more detailed descriptions of your favorite presets and how best to apply them, a new edit menu, draft support and auto-save for all media types. We’ve improved the Studio, so you can now import all of your work into a clean and inspiring studio that brings focus to your creative process.
Collage Mode
Collage provides an intuitive way for VSCO Members to remix photos with shapes, colors and more, with the help of layouts. It’s the newest addition to our multimedia suite allowing members more ways to reimagine images into visually compelling compositions.
This Is Just The Beginning
We are also working on some exciting updates to our Video Editor that will incorporate automation, increased multimedia capabilities and more updates to look out for.
We believe that sustaining creators requires an ecosystem of tools, community, inspiration, and monetization. We’re in the early stages of unlocking new ways to empower creators to monetize their work both in the app and on our website. More to come on that.
